台湾の離島「澎湖（ポンフー）」を代表するイベントといえば、毎年4〜6月ごろに開催される「海上花火大会」です。このイベントは2002年から行われている澎湖の風物詩で、このイベントが始まるとこの島の観光シーズンが訪れます。今回は、そんな澎湖の2018年の海上花火大会についてご案内いたします。

最初の花火大会が開催される4月19日には台湾のアーティストによるライヴパフォーマンスが観音亭園区で開催されます。また、特別会場でも同様のライヴが開催されます。

澎湖（ポンフー）は雨があまり降らない地域ですが、万一雨天になった場合は中止になる場合がございますのでご注意ください。

2016年に引き続き、昨年2017年も澎湖（ポンフー）を訪れる観光客数が100万人を突破しました。今年2018年の海上花火大会でも大勢の観光客が押し寄せるのは間違い無いでしょう。年間のほとんどの観光客がこの時期に澎湖に訪れますので、航空券の手配などは入念にされた方が良いでしょう。

特に豪華な花火が打ち上げられるのは、オープニングセレモニーと最終日のフィナーレです。なお、特別会場の場合は宿泊施設やフェリーなどの移動手段を確保するのが難しいので、その時期に旅行を計画される場合は十分にお気をつけてください。

なお、例年澎湖の花火大会には数カ国の花火技師が参加し、その腕を披露します。昨年2017年のフィナーレを飾ったフランスの花火は特に印象的でした。今年も楽しみですね。
