夏といえば、輝く太陽と海、そして花火ではないでしょうか？　そのすべてを一度に味わえる夢のような島があります。それが、台湾の離島「澎湖（ポンフー）」です。

澎湖では、毎年4〜6月ごろに「海上花火大会」が開催されています。4〜6月だとまだ夏には早いのでは？　と思われるかも知れませんが、ここは台湾の離島。

4月になればすでにポカポカ陽気は過ぎ、海に入りたい日が続くことも。澎湖には太陽と海とマリンスポーツと花火があり、まさに夏そのものなのです。

さて、海上花火大会は2002年から行われている澎湖の風物詩で、このイベントが始まるとこの島の観光シーズンが訪れ、大勢の観光客で賑わうようになります。

今回は、そんな澎湖の2019年の海上花火大会についてご案内いたします。

特別会場について：昨年まではメイン会場以外の各地でも花火大会が開催されていましたが、県知事交代による政策変更のため今年はメイン会場のみの開催になりそうです。

    最初の花火大会が開催される4月18日には台湾のアーティストによるライヴパフォーマンスが観音亭園区で開催されます。

    澎湖（ポンフー）は雨があまり降らない地域ですが、万一雨天になった場合は中止になる場合がございますのでご注意ください。

    そして、2019年の海上花火大会では、なんと200台ものドローンを駆使した最新のパフォーマンスが22回の大会すべてで披露されます！

    花火の数を減らすことで環境への負荷をなくしつつ、地元の主要産業である観光業を守り、そして何より訪れる人々にも配慮した新しい県知事らしいイベントになりますね。

    澎湖（ポンフー）往復航空券の手配はお早めに

    澎湖（ポンフー）の観光シーズンは毎年4〜9月の半年間に集中しており、この時期に年間の7〜8割の観光客が訪れます。

    特に観光客が増加するのが5月と7月で、この時期の週末および花火大会が開催される火曜日と木曜日は航空券の入手が困難なことがあります。

    そのため、特に5月と7月に澎湖へのお越しをご検討の方は、宿泊場所の確保よりも航空券の確保を優先するのをオススメします。

    というのも、2017年の時点での澎湖の宿泊施設の部屋数は1日あたり6,439部屋もあり、宿泊可能な人数は1日あたりの飛行機の席数よりも多いう有名なジョークがあるため、宿泊先はどうにでもなる可能性が高いからです。

    飛行機の座席数より宿の部屋数が多い！？

    ちなみに1部屋あたりに宿泊できる平均人数を3人とすると、宿泊可能な人数は1日あたり20,000人くらいになります。台湾では家族やグループ旅行用に6人部屋があるのはザラですし、ドミトリーも1部屋と計算されていると考えるとこの数字はかなり控えめだと思います。

    そして、1日あたりの飛行機を60便と仮定し、機材から座席数を計算すると多く見積もって100席なので、1日に6,000人しか澎湖に来ることができない計算になります。

    もちろん、その他に嘉義と高雄からの船便もあるので実際に1日で澎湖に来ることができる人数はもっと多くなりますが、それでも20,000人を超えるとは考えにくいです。

    ということは、やっぱり「澎湖には飛行機の座席数より多くの宿がある」というジョークはあながち嘘ではないんですね〜。

    とはいえ人気のホテルや市街地に近い宿は早めに予約が埋まってしまうので、航空券も宿の手配も早め早めにするようにしましょうね。

    なお、航空券と宿の手配をスムーズにするためには、台湾の連休の時期とかぶらないように旅行計画を立てるのがコツです。

    さて、話題を海上花火大会に戻しますと、特に豪華な花火が打ち上げられるのは、オープニングセレモニーと最終日のフィナーレです。

    また例年、海上花火大会の追加開催が行われていますが、今年は県知事交代による政策変更のため追加開催はしないこととなりました。
